Wine Country

Krems to Pochlarn, Austria
We headed out to see the town of Krems once the bikes were all unloaded from the shop.
Stein Gate is the only one saved of the four city gates.
We headed back toward the ship, then on the path along the river and into wine country.
King Richard I of England was held for ransom in the ruins at the top of the hill.
St Michael's Church is where we found The 7 rabbit statues on the roof. There was something about a legend of the rabbits that were frozen to the roof because of the deep snow. Their poo was used to make some special liquor.
The rode today (as was everyday) was very beautiful.  We were along the river, through the vineyards, through some woods and through some cute little towns.
The guide app on my phone uses up the battery so much that don and I decided to shut it off and just check in occasionally.  We went through the town of Aggstein when I noticed more riders on the other side of the river than on the side we were on. I decided to check our directions.  We went about a mile back and got on the ferry to cross the river. On the ferry, we saw our ship pass us. We could see Linda and Dottie on the deck.
We got to the other side and passed the ship. Then we stopped for lunch at an outdoor Cafe when the ship passed us again.
The town of Melk has a large Benedictine abbey.
We rode to the locks at Melk and found our ship inside.
Then we rode on to Pochlarn to the end of our riding days.
