We ate yogurt in our room and left around 845am.

On the other side of this bridge,  there was no way off the pedestrian lane without lifting my heavy bike over the guard rail. So we did.

Nope, we are not in Kansas. 

We saw an available stork nest platform. 

We took a very small detour to see this church.

We took another very small detour to ride on the road next to the Lithuania  / Russia border.

These trees are along the river / border.

We went on into the town of Kurdikos.

We had a snack in Lithuania looking at Russia.

Here is a monument to the Melno Taika. Apparently, people have been fighting over this land for a very long time. 

There is a nice path that used to connect this Lithuanian town with a German town over the river. The German town was the only European town that was not rebuilt after WWII. 

We had about 12 more miles to go to our destination. 

We arrived at Sirvintos Viesbutis (hotel) in Vilkaviskis Lithuania around 230pm. This place was $65 (no breakfast). 

We went to Pegasus for dinner. I had chicken stuffed with feta cheese, spinach and sun dried tomatoes with roasted potatoes and a salad for $10.76.

Then we walked around town a bit.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow... maybe it'll be wrong.
