We had the usual breakfast around 730am.
We left around 800am but stopped in town at the post office. Lynn mailed a package to herself from Norway. It has some kind of problem, maybe postage due... but she can't figure out how to resolve the problem. We are past the town she mailed it to. So now she's trying to find it and have it held for her in Helsinki. After an hour on phone calls and getting nowhere, we had to get going. She did get another customer service number that she'll try later.
The weather was sunny, 55 to 70 degrees and 15 to 20 mph mostly headwind. The wind made the hills even more difficult. This picture of the hills is from the top looking back!
We took our lunch break in this cute town of Vesanto. There were lots of people out and about.
This farmer backed his tractor right into the spot in front of our table... made us a little nervous!
After lunch, more hills and farms.
There were a lot of white birds (sea gulls) in the field.
We came across a canal with a lock.
We arrived at B&B Mierontie around 4pm.
The shower is a little unusual in that the faucet serves water ti the sink and the shower. Most places have one shower wall where this one has none. A few actually have a curtain or a shower door.
This place was $86 per night with breakfast. The grill would close at 5, so we got checked in, dumped our stuff and ordered dinner. I had a delicious chicken sandwich, and if you look close enough, you can see that I got ice in my lemonade!
Tomorrow will be a long day.
