Sunrise over Lake Geneva 

Breakfast was bread, jam, a piece of cheese, yogurt, juice and coffee.

We left around 930am. First we went up a hill to a the house where a friend of Lynn's used to live (she told me it was not up a hill... never believe those words).

We had a nice route along the lake. 

Then the route turned into a walking path.

Suddenly the route went awry.

This one last shortcut through the woods turned out ok. Nobody got hurt. We did have to walk a bit. And we came out near the airport.

Then we went through a couple of tunnels that seemed like we shouldn't be there. 

Then someone started hollering and waving at us. It was Lynn's friends, Beth! 

She led us the last miles to the Holiday Inn Express.

We started from Nordkapp Norway on June 19 about 2,900 miles from here and arrived in Geneva around 1245pm. What a ride! What an adventure! What a great trip! 

The room was about $320 for 2 nights. 

Beth and I went for a walk around Geneva to find food. 

While in line for a crepe omelet, I asked the couple in front of me where there were from.  They said Kansas. I said I was from the Wichita area. They were too. They live in the Riverside neighborhood (15 miles from me)!  Crazy!

Yes, I ate the whole thing.

Beth guided us to see St Pierre Cathedral.

Next, Beth led the way to ice cream and then back to the hotel. 

Beth led us to Le Cafe du Soleil for dinner.

It was a fun and busy day. I'm happy to meet Lynn's friends who will continue the ride with her. I'm happy to know that my bike bag is indeed here at the hotel (so I've been told). I'm sad to not be able to finish the ride. 

I feel very blessed to have been able to go on this fabulous adventure and to see this beautiful world full of wonderful people. 

So this was my last day to ride on this trip... or was it?
