When we checked into the hotel, we were told breakfast was 7 to 11. So, we went down this morning at about 710am. The room was empty so we picked the same table we used yesterday.  We were politely asked to move to the overfill room. So, we did. Then we got our food. 

As soon as we sat down to eat, about 30 priests came into the dining area to eat.  They seemed to be in a big hurry.  It was a long shot, but I wondered if the priest that we met on the road near Wabrzezno (with the pilgrimage) on Friday (today is Sunday) was there.  I kept looking and sure enough, there he was! He saw us and smiled and waved, but did not come to speak to us.  About 10 minutes later, they all left.  That explains why he didn't come talk to us. They must have been in a tight schedule. 

We got our bikes down the small elevator (by standing them up on the back tire)  one at a time.  We left around 830am.

Our route took us on nice quiet roads through the forest.

We chose to take a 0.3 mile road through the forest instead of staying on the 1.2 mile paved road. When will we learn? 

Back on the pavement, we saw several local cyclists all day.

On our search for a coffee shop and toilet, we found this statue instead (we ended finding a cornfield, though).

Lynn saw a sign with Znin (our destination) crossed out. But she didn't know what it meant.  We kept going.

We figured out what it meant.

The detour would have been about 8 miles so we walked through (being a Sunday made me feel better about going through as their were no workers driving large vehicles).

Looking back...

We got into Znin around 2pm.

We're stayng at Cukrownia Znin. It's an old (beet) sugar factory. The factory was built in 1884. It closed in 2004 and was reopened as a hotel in 2020.

The room was $135.95 per night including breakfast. 

The gal at the desk said it was the biggest slide inside a hotel in the world. So we gave it a go.

Then we went to dinner. My meal with dessert was $16.82.

Maybe tomorrow we won't find any closed roads.
