After breakfast, we headed out to explore more of Munich on our own. On our way to the King's Residence, we saw several old and beautiful buildings.
There were some protesters who crossed the square behind this place. The brass line on the street is in their honor.
We got tickets to tour the King's Residence and the Treasures. It is a 3 to 4 hour self guided english tour. The tickets were 13 euros each.
After a few hours, we felt like mice in a maize unable to find the exit. We sat outside for a picnic lunch before continuing with the second half of the tour to see the Treasures.
After a bit of a rest ( I think we walked about 4 miles in the palace!), we wandered over to Marienplatz (a very popular shopping district) where we saw LOTS of people and more pretty buildings.
