The overnight flight from JFK to Oslo Norway is not fun or relaxing. The flight, thankfully, was uneventful... it's just hard to sleep. My watch says I slept 1 hr 28 minutes. Sounds about right. The flight left JFK at 1155pm. We arrived in Oslo about noon local time. We went through customs, got out bags and had to check our bags and go through security. This flight was with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). They only charged 600 NOK for my overweight bag ($56). Once again my bike was askew. The rear fork was not fastened in. I figured the first time it happened was because I didn't secure it very well. Now I suspect the baggage handlers are the problem. It looks to be undamaged.
We left Oslo at 650pm. We landed briefly in Tromso at about 830pm. We left at 9pm and landed at 930pm.
Views from the plane...
There should be a car waiting for us to take us to the hotel. We got to our room at 1030pm (still daylight outside). Then put the bikes together. At 1230am (still light outside) we went for a 1 mile successful test ride. Showered and in bed at 130am.
