(20 miles east of) Miles City Montana to Bowman North Dakota
We loaded up the car at 7am and headed to our starting point east of town on US12. We started riding around 745am in the construction zone (it had moved since Monday). We waited for a pilot car to go by and jumped in behind. Of course we couldn't keep up so a couple of times we stopped to make sure the workers could see us. The wind gradually got stronger behind us as the day went on.
We stopped in Plevna at a bar for a picnic lunch and a cold drink.
The wind was really pushing us so we thought we'd ride past our destination of Baker Montana.
The land started looking like the Badlands. We got to North Dakota and decided to keep going.
We got to Marmarth and decided to keep going since the wind was at our backs around 27 mph.
We got to Bowman North Dakota around 530pm after riding 107 miles. It was a pretty easy ride but my bottom side is sore! Now we need to rearrange some hotel reservations.
