Ainsworth to O'Neill Nebraska
We left around 730am. After about 8 miles on the trail we saw the family that we met last night at dinner. A mom, dad, 3 kids and an aunt. The kids were 7, 9 and 11. They had ridden 30 miles yesterday and were doing about 20 today and tomorrow. Very impressive.
Just east of Long Pine, a bridge was out so we went to the highway. I told the family about the bridge being out, since they stopped for a break in the park. We exchanged phone numbers and I told him I would text him what we find out about the trail ahead.
The trail was open past the bridge and they only had to be on the highway about a mile before they could get back on it. They sent me this picture after they had returned to the trail. At Basset, Kay and I drew "Good Job" on the trail for them since we knew that was their destination for the day.
