Vienna Austria
Today was the most awake time that I've been on the ship. It left left last night and reached Vienna at 1pm (after breakfast and lunch). Don, Mary, Braden and I went on the guided bicycle tour around town.
This artist designed these buildings for government housing. The apartments are all unique and are very affordable. And, there is usually a waiting list.
This is where I experienced another reason to where a bicycle helmet.... it provided protection from pigion poo!
We made our way through the busy city to a park and the building where Johann Strauss studied.
We went to see the Imperial Palace.
Next stop was the Parliament.
... then City Hall
... and St Michael's Cathedral.
Our guide left us here to find our way back about 4 miles to the ship. Down this road to the river and turn left. It was a very busy road, and we made it back by 530. Dinner was at 6, and the bus to the concert at Schonbrunn Concert Hall left at 715pm.
As soon as we got back to the ship, we had a piece of Vienna sausage as is the Austrian tradition after a concert. Also the ship left port to move all night down river.
