Our apartment
did not come with a free breakfast so Dottie and I thought we could grab a bite somewhere before attending Mass with Don and Mary at St Peter's Cathedral. We were unsuccessful in finding breakfast and barely successful in finding the massive Cathedral. The walk there was very pretty.
We went back to our apartment to get our luggage, then walked to the boat. It was only 1.8 miles to the boat but it seemed much longer with a backpack and carry-on luggage.
The boat left at 6pm and we soon entered Austria. We got checked into room 103. There was a reception with snacks, then about 5 minutes of free time, then an hour meeting about the trip, then 5 minutes of free time, a safety meeting (we also went through one of severl locks on the river), then a 5 course delicious dinner from 730 to 930. This is pretty luxurious in my book... can't imagine what a real luxury cruise is like!
