In December of 2021, Lynn started re-planning her bicycle trip to Europe. I started planning to join her. World events such as Putin invading Ukraine put her plans on hold for the second time (covid caused her first reschedule). Fast forward past the summer of 2023, we started re-planning her trip to Europe for the summer of 2024.
During our planning, we learned about the Schengen Visa rules. Since I had already made plans to visit Germany for 2 weeks in May, I can only stay in Europe for another 76 days. This whole trip is planned for over 100 days. So, the plan is for me to go as far as Geneva, at which point Lynn will have some other friends join her for the remainder of the trip. By the way, Lynn was able to get an Italian passport so she is not under the Schengen rules.
