We had porridge for breakfast and made a sandwich for lunch.  The weather was wet.  And, it looked like it would rain all day. It was 52 degrees and lightly raining, with no wind when we headed out. The thing about riding in the rain is that we didn't stop much for pictures. 

After 36 miles and about 3 hours,  we stopped at a gas station  / restaurant  / grocery store. We were as wet as we could get. We found a table and got some hot chocolate. We ate out sandwiches while we drip dried... well, dripped at least. We sat there for a couple of hours.  I added a light jacket to get warm. At about 2pm, the rain was almost done, and we took off for the final 32 miles.  

We started seeing more farms and fields of planted grass or maybe wheat.

We arrived at our lodging for the night around 5pm... mostly dry.

This place is an old farm that has been converted to a lodge, Maalaiskartano Pihkala. It is very nice.  Our room is $117 including breakfast.  They fixed a light meal for us and a few other guests. 

We were welcomed by the chickens. 

This barn (now rooms) was built in 1795.

The light dinner was a salad (with some squeaky fresh local cheese), chicken and bread. 

They even have a shoe dryer for us! 

It looks like we may stay dry tomorrow.
