I took my fixed tire for a spin with weight on it. It flatted within a half mile. I fixed it again, this time I pulled the rim tape back into place where it seems to have moved and cut the tube. 

We ate breakfast then rolled out at 930 not feeling confident at all about my tire.

We found a fountain to cool off in.

Then at mile 17, my tire flatted again. This time I pulled out my electrical tape to cover the rim tape that keeps slipping to the edge. 

After another 15 miles, we found a bike shop in Straubing. I explained what I did and that I'd like to have new rim tape because I thought that was causing my flats. After a while he brought the bike back and told me what I did was fine. I explained again that I wanted new rim tape because I wanted a good fix and not my temporary patch. He got a bit frustrated with me (and I with him). I also had him put on new brake pads (that I had). I think he only put on the rear pads. They squeaked terribly when I got out outside.  After a while the squeak went away (mostly). Hopefully no more flats.

We got to Hotel Korfu around 4pm. It was hot tiday... 97 degrees. We had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to come check us in. The room was $120, no breakfast. 

The Greek restaurant was good. 

When we went to pay, we were told "cash only". Uh. Oh. We walked a quarter mile to an ATM and came back with cash.  My meal was around $26.

Today was hot and frustrating because of my tire issue. And the scenery was beautiful.  We were mostly on bike paths with a few low traffic roads. With possible storms this weekend, we may combine two days into tomorrow.
