One tim, a friend asked me what we do when it rains on a bicycle trip. I told him, "we get wet". Today, we got wet.
We started out around 8am with 50 degrees and light drizzle. We quickly warmed up and enjoyed the scenery.
Part of our route turned out to be behind a locked gate on a military base. So we had to ride a mile on I-5. It wasn't fun, but we didn't have any problems.
We managed to stay mostly dry until Tacome, which was 10 miles from our destination of a 75 mile day. We arrived at Kay and Darryl's friends, Paul and Chris, around 6pm cold and wet. After, cleaning up and getting warm, we had a wonderful meal prepared by Chris's daughter, Michelle.
Tomorrow looks like it will be warmer and dryer.
