Top of the World Cody Wyoming to Red Lodge Montana

We started at 8am when it was only 51 degrees.  Top of the World is at 9,400 feet. We started climbing right away and quickly warmed up.
The road above...
We quickly found snow.

I expected it would take 2 hours to get to the top... I got there in an hour 45 minutes. It was almost 10 miles.  Here's a look at the road we came up.  At the top,  we walked to an overlook.

and lunch (the temperature said 70 but the wind was cold)...  Sandra got a picture of a marmot (I saw several)...
Now for the decent...

 Zoomed in a little...

Kay got a picture of me and Lynn...

The road where we are going below...

There were lots of switchbacks and it was loads of fun. The roads were in great shape and the drivers very courteous.  This road is only open late May to early October and is basically a tourist attraction.  No semis allowed.
Here is an interesting speed chart with  elevation...  We arrived into Red Lodge around 2pm. We could see evidence of damage from the flood of June 2022.

39.85 miles
1,959 feet climbing

Tomorrow is all downhill to Billings.
