We had breakfast at 7 then headed out for a long day.  The first difficult task was to get the bikes down the tiny elevator (we got them up yesterday! ). 

Then we headed to a donation box that I saw last night.  I dropped off my warm tights and those really nice electric gloves (without batteries) that I found in Norway. 

We crossed the river to head out of town.

There was a nice bike path for about 8 miles out of town. The road was very quiet and nice. The pizza place would have been the only services on our 80 mile route today... had it been open.

We had not planned on it being open. 

After about 14 miles, we hit mile 500 of the trip so far.

The road we were on was very narrow and very little traffic. 

Then we came to a truck picking up logs. It was pretty interesting watching.  Once all the logs were picked up,  the crane grabbed chains and laid them over the top.  Then the driver got out to, assumably,  secure the chains.

We took a lunch break at a dam on the river by the Vanttauskoski Power Plant.

We still had 40 miles to go.

We arrived with sore bottoms and legs around 4pm to The Arctic Guesthouse and Igloos. 

The Igloos are boats that you can navigate through the water im the summer. They are available even in the winter... but only if the ice isn't too thick. I think there is a way for you to fish from inside the igloo.

This place was $98. The dinner and dessert was $20, and was just ok.

The weather today was overcast and was between 54 and 62 degrees with 5 to 10 mph headwind most of the time.  We got drizzled on several times.
