We had breakfast at 7 and left around 8.
As we were leaving the road to the hotel, we entered a traffic circle. I saw another cyclist going faster than me and figured he was going the same way as me so I was sure to signal so we wouldn't collide. He backed off and smiled and said "ladies first". After we all got across the stop light, he zoomed ahead of us. About 20 minutes later outside of town by the river path, I saw him sitting by the river. He saw us and smiled and waved.
Today's route was beautiful. It was backroads and cyclepaths, mostly. We were cycling along and came to a town. There was a bike lane on the road so we got in it. Following the route, I could see that we had a big circle turn coming up. Then traffic started backing up. It was downhill. I started passing the cars and busses. Passing cars and busses on a downhill around a curve always puts me on high alert. I was very cautious. Suddenly the bike lane ended at a stone wall. Fortunately, there was plenty of time to stop... and a car let me into the lane. Then we came to this big and busy town square.
I got out of the car line into the pedestrian area and turned to look for Lynn. She was a few cars behind. We had no idea this was a big city!
Out of the city, we got back to some quiet roads.
It got in the low 90s today. We got to the hotel Irseer Klosterbrau around 4pm. Our room is around $164 with breakfast.
I had a big salad with grilled goat cheese, water and apple dumpling with ice cream for $39.69. Prices are getting higher as we go south.
