Rain Day

St. Margrethen Switzerland 

After breakfast with Phillip (whose daughter met Lynn last spring), I cleaned and adjusted my bike and organized my bags. 

I went for a walk in the afternoon (still raining).

At about 5, we walked to dinner. It was up the hill. Restaurant Emilio. It was very fancy and very welcoming.  The owner had just opened on August 1. He was very friendly. The view was great.

The food was great. My meal was about $53. Once again, we had an issue paying. He did not have a credit card machine working yet. He gave us a barcode to make an online payment which of course did not work with our banks. It does, however, work with PayPal. Woo hoo! 

He gave us a tour of the rest of the place... 

We took the shortcut through the woods to get back to the hotel.
